Riverbend Church, along with Spirit Radio 105.9, will be bringing all of the fun traditions from the Sing-Alongs of the past and adding much more.
The fun will start on the plaza at 6:00pm with a live Nativity, hot chocolate and goodies. The plaza festivities will culminate with the lighting of a huge Christmas tree before we move into the auditorium for the Sing-Along with a full orchestra and the 100-voice Riverbend Choir beginning at 7:30pm.

While Christmas is a joyous occasion for many of us, some in our community never get to experience it fully, especially little children. Our hope is that you would join us in our Gift Drive and Toy Stores to help provide a little joy to a lot of kids around Austin this Christmas.
NOVEMBER: Christmas Gift Drive
Throughout November | Pick up your tag after our Sunday services
Each November the members and friends of Riverbend purchase gifts for thousands of underserved children located throughout the greater Austin area and beyond. These kids are in foster care, shelters, and other very difficult situations. Together we make Christmas a little better for over 2,500 children across Austin including the Rundberg, Travis Heights, and East Austin areas.
HOW IT WORKS: COLLECTING TAGS, SORTING, & DELIVERING GIFTS
Select a tag (or several) before or after our Sunday morning services. Purchase a gift from the suggestions on the label, or an age-appropriate gift. Gifts should be new, not used, and should cost no more than $40, so that all children (some of whom may be in a group setting) will receive gifts of the same approximate value. Make sure to follow the instructions on the tags — some gifts are wrapped and others are not.
Return your gift(s) to the Home for Hope by 12:00PM, Sunday, NOV 25.
DECEMBER: Toy Stores
DEC 15 @ South Austin | DEC 16 @ East Austin
Our Toy Stores allow parents to purchase new gifts for their children at extremely low prices ($1, $3 and $5 each). For many of these parents, there is significant dignity in allowing them to pay for Christmas gifts for their children.
The Toy Stores are setup at the Proyecto Esperanza Neighborhood Development Center in East Austin, and Travis Heights Christian Outreach in South Austin.
The serving opportunities include: setting up the stores, assisting with shopping, gift wrapping the presents, parking lot directing, supervising inflatables, creating Christmas crafts with the neighborhood kids and serving food and drinks. Feel free to invite your friends and family. It's a great way to connect and serve in Austin this Christmas season!
Donate to Angels Afoot
We understand that this is a busy season. While we’d love for everyone to participate in Angels Afoot by purchasing gifts, and volunteering time, we know that’s just not feasible for everyone. However, you can still contribute to Angels Afoot through a charitable donation.
DEC 2 | 3:00PM | Smith Family Chapel
Join us in our annual Service of Remembrance to honor your deceased loved ones, Sunday, December 2 at 3:00pm in the Smith Family Chapel. If you can, bring a framed, standing picture of your loved one(s) to be placed alongside a candle.
NOV 30 | 5:30 - 9:00PM | Community First! Village
Join Riverbend's Missionaries, Mike & Linda Sculley, as they show off their home-away-from-home, Community First Village. With more than 200,000 lights choreographed to holiday music, the Community First! Village of Lights is one of the biggest Christmas light displays in Central Texas.
Be sure to include a stop at the Advent Market to shop for unique, handcrafted gifts made by formerly homeless crafstmen and artisans who live at the Village. Your purchase of gifts and concessions during the event will help our Community First! Village neighbors earn a dignified income.

Riverbend offers a series of three classes, designed to give you a Biblical understanding of how God has designed us to be in relationship with Him, and how He desires us to live our lives. We encourage you to consider attending the following classes.
DISCOVERING MY SPIRITUAL GIFTS
NOV 18 @ 12:30–2:00PM
Community Center #203
This class will help you begin to understand the unique gifts that God gives to each Christian, and how you are to use them to help Him build His church and how to serve here at Riverbend.
NOV 29 @ 6:30–8:00PM
Community Center #203
In this class we will explore the basis of our faith—who was Jesus, and what does it really mean to have a relationship with Him? What does that mean for how we live our lives differently than perhaps we do today?
Imagine: Songs of Thanksgiving
Sunday, NOV 18 | 8:30AM (Chapel); 9:45AM; 11:15AM
What would it be like to live differently - without expected homogeny - and still love each other collectively and individually? Imagine if we could all be on different parts of our journey, and still be together. This Thanksgiving, let’s be grateful for the possibility to Imagine being different and the same.
Featuring hit songs by the Beatles blended with timeless worship anthems — this is a Sunday you don’t want to miss. Bring your family and friends along for the ride.
NOV 10 | 5:30PM | 7000 Cameron Rd, Austin, TX 78752
Give thanks this year by serving one of our mission partners, East Austin Neighborhood Development Center (EANDC).
We're looking for volunteers to serve along side our Community Groups on NOV 10, 5:30PM for the Thanksgiving Feast at our Proyecto Esperanza Neighborhood Development Center (NDC). This is a great opportunity for anyone to jump in and serve an amazing community at home here in Austin.
Pradeep Thorat has been busy making connections and training more than 200 people in English classes. He has invited us to participate with him by helping him host a Thanksgiving dinner for all the families who have gone through the program.
This is a time to serve people who usually do all the serving, and it is a time to share the reason why we come together to give thanks.
There will be around 250 people learning from us what our Thanksgiving celebration is all about. Please consider joining in to serve good food, eat good food, and make new friends with those who are wanting to practice their English.
