There is also a large group that meets on Tuesday mornings in Quad 3 at 10:45AM for a time of study, fellowship and games. After each study we eat lunch and play a game of Chicken Foot. There’s never any doubt that things will work out just fine in “Breakthrough”, and not only because Roxann Dawson’s movie is based on a true story. It’s also because of the film’s overtly Christian approach, which leans strongly toward the evangelical side of its discussion of faith and religion.
The story focuses on Joyce Smith (Chrissy Metz), a true believer. Grant Nieporte’s screenplay is based on the real Smith’s 2017 book (written with Ginger Kolbaba) The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother’s Faith and Her Child’s Resurrection, and yes, that title is more than a bit of a spoiler. Then again, the very idea that the story was written in the first place is a spoiler.
Cost: $3 (Includes a movie, popcorn, chili dogs, and a drink)

Austin’s most rockin’ holiday tradition returns to make merry with new music and surprises to get the party started. ZACH’s inspired adaptation of the Dickens’ classic is a musical sleigh ride through rhythm and time, infusing the traditional Victorian story with a score that spans all genres and eras. This family-friendly spectacular creates an infectious spirit that has everyone dancing in the aisles. Celebrate the season with the loving Cratchit family and three soulful ghosts as they take Ebenezer Scrooge on a joyride to rediscover his heart and love for human kindness. One of the highlights is Riverbend’s own Paul Sanchez singing “O Holy Night”.
