About Community of Kindness

Austin Blessings Co-op, a group of faith communities, non-profits, businesses, and individuals, envisions an Austin which embraces its vulnerable neighbors, unifies the community, and transforms lives across Austin and beyond.

Community of Kindness Works will be an evening to celebrate with those who devote their time and gifts to serve Austin’s front line communities. The evening will offer food, drinks, music, and a robust silent auction.

This event is open to everyone and will support those Austin Blessings Co-op ministry affiliates who tirelessly serve the homeless, working poor, elderly, immigrants, disaster survivors, children and others who are suffering.

Austin Blessings Co-op

Organized by Riverbend Church, Austin Blessings Co-op is a group of faith communities, non-profits, businesses, and individuals, which envisions an Austin that embraces its vulnerable neighbors, unifies the community, and transforms lives.

  • We devote ourselves to serving vulnerable people and neighborhoods in and around the city of Austin.

  • We commit ourselves to serving the whole person, focusing on practical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

  • We mobilize compassionate people and organizations.

  • We connect faith communities, non-profits, businesses, and people to do the most good with what we are given.

  • We create a venue for our neighbors to serve or be served, just as they are, right where they are.

  • We elevate the people, organizations, and ministries serving on the front line, to provide hubs of hope in every corner of the city.

  • We innovate to extend our reach, facilitate collaboration, and ensure good stewardship of our resources.

Riverbend Church

Riverbend is deeply committed to meeting our city’s practical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The mission of Riverbend is to serve the bruised, battered, broken and bored of Austin, with a desire to see everyone experience the amazing grace that God offers us.
