A Different Kind of Concert Experience
The Riverbend Centre for the Arts' vision is to enrich and inspire our diverse city by presenting performances of quality, educational, and artistic excellence in a welcoming environment. Through concerts, performances, and community events, we seek to cultivate meaningful experiences that encourage both artistic expression and a deeper sense of community.
The Unplugged Concert Series is one of the many ways we live out that vision. In a world filled with constant noise, distraction, and busy schedules, Unplugged offers an opportunity to slow down for an evening, enjoy great live music, and connect with others in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Each concert highlights talented local artists and gives audiences the chance to “unplug” from the pace of everyday life while supporting the vibrant, creative community here in Austin.

Josh Bissell
Josh Bissell is an Austin-based Christian indie-folk artist writing songs shaped by real life and a steady dependence on God. Blending warm acoustic textures with reflective storytelling, his music explores longing, hope, and learning to trust God when answers don’t come quickly.
With a voice that values sincerity over spectacle, Josh creates live sets that feel less like performances and more like shared conversations. His songs invite listeners to slow down, exhale, and find meaning in the in-between seasons of life.
