Support Groups
Divorce Support
The Riverbend Divorce Support Group exists to support those who are making their way through the divorce process. Our group is open to everyone regardless of age or religion. You do not need to be a member of Riverbend Church to attend our group.
The Divorce Support Group meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Quad 2A and is facilitated by Gary Miller and Darlene Kohlenberg. Cancer Support
The Cancer Support group meets the third Tuesday of each month in Quad 4C&D from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. The group is affiliated with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's Anderson Network. Our mission is to provide information, support, hope and encouragement to those on the cancer journey. All are welcome. The support group is for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer, either personally or by a family member, neighbor or friend. We extend this invitation to the Riverbend Church family and the entire Austin community to come join us in supporting one another. The group is led by Gloria Moore, a cancer survivor who knows the value of sharing this experience with a strong network of people who relate first-hand. La Leche
Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. This group meets the third Wednesday of every month in Quad 4C&D from 10 - 11:30 a.m. For more information contact Bev Vaugh or (512) 323-0553.
