What is the “call to kindness”?
It’s the call to step up. It’s the call to use your unique, God-given gifts to bless others as you have been blessed. It’s the call to lead with grace and compassion, knowing the impact of dedicating your time and talents can be multiplied when given freely and wholeheartedly.
It’s the decision to brew coffee or greet people or hand out food or organize clothes, knowing your kindness is changing lives.
Serving others is a core part of our vision statement – to be a welcoming community, in service to others, compelled by God’s grace – and we are grateful to serve alongside you.
Serve at Riverbend
Serving on the Riverbend campus isn’t just “helping things run smoothly” — it’s being a core part of a community committed to creating a welcoming space where people can encounter God and community. Whether you're greeting at the door, helping with kids, making coffee, or running tech, every role helps someone feel seen, known, and loved. Your presence makes a real difference.
Serve Globally
Serving our global neighbors in areas like Mexico, Costa Rica, and El Salvador allows Riverbenders to step outside their comfort zones and experience the powerful connection of grace beyond borders. Whether distributing backpacks or toys to underprivileged communities or helping to build and repair homes and community structures, our mission trips are a chance to share God’s love in tangible ways while gaining a renewed perspective, deeper faith, and a heart expanded by service.
Serve in Austin
Austin Blessings Co-op, founded by Riverbend in 2019, unites people, churches, and organizations to meet Austin’s practical, emotional, and spiritual needs through hands on serving opportunities. Whether you’re packaging or distributing food, providing diapers, or helping families select clothing, every act of service makes a lasting difference. Your time and compassion help bring hope and tangible care to our Austin community.
