The building process for this project was amazing in that we broke ground in January of 2011 and opened our doors to most of the new building and renovated projects on August 28, 2011, just about 9 months in total. Considering we spent three years planning all of this, that is remarkable.
The doors opened on Sunday August 28th to nearly 3,000 people who attended our grand opening. People were amazed by the 4 new theatre rooms in the new building for primary, preteen, middle school & high school students. Each room has been themed for the age group and is equipped with stages, large screens, sound systems, and theatrical lights, in order to help our ministry leaders present the Gospel and truths of the Bible in the language the kids pay attention to these days.
Today the children's areas break down as follows:
- If your child is an infant to 3 years old and not potty trained yet, you bring them to the Nursery building.
- If your child is 3 years to kindergarten, you bring them to the lower level of the Fellowship Hall which has been renovated.
- If your child is in 1st - 5th grade, you bring them to the upper level of the new Children's Center.
- If your child is in 6th - 12th grade, you bring them to the lower level of the new Student's Center.
The upper Fellowship Hall has been fully renovated for adult ministry. Still to come on the project is the renovation of Building 5 (formerly called Studio 45), to be used by adult groups following the renovation. We expect that renovation to be complete by November of this year.
