Global Outreach

Global serving opportunities

We approach outreach with a practical application that Christ gives us in Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

This is a guide for us to care for our neighborhoods, our city, and the world. Riverbend has been helping in El Salvador for years and has been very successful in our partnership.

We are beginning to venture out into new areas of the globe to care for those in need, and to share Gods love with people who need a message of hope. If you would like to join these teams as we go and serve across borders please join the groups for more information.

El Salvador

We partner with Iglesia Bautista Siloe Church (Siloe for short) in San Salvador, El Salvador. It supports and operates a Christian school for almost 300 preschool to 9th grade students in the impoverished Santa Lucia colonia. Siloe provides an education, one hot meal per day and after school care. Because the neighborhood it serves is a relatively poor area where there is little financial support for the school and church, we are committed to assisting Siloe in becoming self-sustaining spiritually, economically and socially.

Mexico

We partner with a ministry in Piedras Negras called Hands and Feet ministry.  They work with several churches and ministries in the Piedras Negras Mexico.  Hands and feet also runs an elementary school, and partners with a home that cares for special needs adults and children. On these trips everywhere from children to adults are welcome.  This is a great experience for you, if you have never been on mission trip.

Israel / Holy Land

There’s nothing quite like a trip to the Holy Land — the opportunity to visit locations in the Bible where Jesus actually walked can be a powerful experience. This trip is a chance for you to come tour the holy land, and experience the historical context and setting of the Bible and of Jesus life and ministry. This trip is open to anyone over 18, and is a great experience whether you have no experience with missions trips, or if you have lots.
