Emergency Medical Authorization - Required for all children, must be notarized.
Health Requirement - Immunization Record & Health Statement required for all children.
Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements - For your reference, here is the list of required vaccines for child care programs. If your child does not meet the requirement for their age group, you must submit an Affidavit for Exemption for Reasons of Conscience from the Health Department. Visit www.immunizetexas.org for more information.

After School Enrichment - School Year Programs
Our extended day classes are available for ages 3 to 5 years and potty trained. Classes run until 2:30 p.m. Sportball is still accepting enrollment! Look for Location 10: Click here to go to the Sportball Web Site. Other classes offered include Spanish and Gymnastics. For more information, stop by the school office.
As a reminder, we ask you to label everything that your
child brings to school. We’ve made it easy to help support Riverbend
while keeping your kid’s stuff out of the Lost &
Found! We’re suggesting Mabel’s Labels as the labels you
use. Mabel’s labels are personalized, peel &
stick, super-durable labels that safely go in the laundry, dishwasher and
microwave. They’re perfect for all your kids’ stuff – shoes, clothes, water
bottles, lunch containers, lunch boxes, backpacks and more! You can do a
child’s name or even add a a fun icon.
Click here to go to the Mabel's Labels web site. Once you click on our name, your order will be part of
our fundraising efforts. It’s that easy.
Mabel's Labels has been having some technical difficulties on their web site. To ensure that we get credit for your purchase, please e-mail Mabel's Labels at email@example.com and let them know your order number and that you want to apply your purchase to our organization.
Volunteer Chairmen Needed
We have an invaluable group of volunteers who help to plan and organize the fundraisers and special events each school year. We are seeking moms (or dads) with time and talents and a willing heart to join our chairmen team for the upcoming school year. You will be rewarded, not only with a fun experience and great friendships, but also the gift of pre-registration for the following school year (which means getting the class schedule you want for your kids with no waiting in line!).
We are so thankful for the parents who signed up at Moms & Muffins to help this school year. Most of the chairmen positions have filled and many of you have signed up to help as committee members during the various fundraisers and special events. We are still seeking an Underwriting Chair for our Christmas Pageant & Celebration. This person will contact area businesses - past sponsors and potential new sponsors - about underwriting the event.
- If you are interested in learning more about this chair position, please contact the school office. We would love for you to join our fantastic team!
We are in need of restocking our clothes closet. Often a child will need an extra change of clothes and sometimes the school will have to lend out clothes. As you are cleaning out your closets at home, please consider setting some aside to donate to our clothes closet. The biggest need is for pants in sizes 3T and 4T. Thanks for your help!
2015-2016 School Year Registration
If you have friends or family interested in joining our program, please have them contact Alicia in the school office or apply using the Wait List Policy and Application. We have started a referral program, and you could receive a tuition credit if a family registers for the upcoming school year and has listed your name on the application. We still have some space available for new families joining us in Fall 2015!
Periodically RBCS will use Robly to notify parents by e-mail of school happenings. In the past we have used Constant Contact but will begin using Robly in August 2015.
Due to our licensing with the TX Dept. of Family and Protective Services, only children attending classes are permitted to be on our playgrounds during school hours, 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. After school hours we welcome our parents to use the playground facilities but ask that you abide by some rules. Please supervise your children on campus at all times; do not let them enter the building themselves or leave them on the playground unattended. If you take food or drinks to any of the playgrounds, please properly dispose of your trash. Please note that the turfed Playland playground is recommended by the manufacturer for use by children 3 and older. The 2nd turfed playground that is fenced off separately is recommended for children 5 years and older. Thank you for your consideration and respect of these wonderful facilities we have available for our families.
Parking at Riverbend
You may have noticed that the Handicapped parking spots located in the main parking area in front of Fellowship Hall have now been marked for 15 minute parking for our preschool parents for drop off and pick up. Please utilize these and other marked parking spots when dropping off and picking up your child. Please do not park in the staff parking lot or in any of the marked fire zones.
Parents often ask us when they are cleaning out old toys if we take donations. Yes, we do! We are happy to take any gently used items for use in our classrooms. We also have a sister school, Little Folks. Any items that we either don't have a use for or have too much of, we forward to Little Folks. Items can be dropped at the school office; donation receipts available.
Stay informed about recalls and unsafe children's products. Visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission web site for information about this and other product recalls.
