Mobile Loaves & Fishes
Mobile Loaves & Fishes is a social outreach ministry for
the homeless and indigent working poor. We provide food, and dignity to our brothers and sisters
in need. We accomplish this mission through the
use of a catering-style truck that goes out onto the city streets of Austin three to four nights per week.
We are currently collecting Instant Ice Tea, Pink Lemonade and Toothpaste!

Each month Riverbend feeds close to 1,000 of Austin's poorest, and
volunteers, just like you, make Mobile Loaves and Fishes happen. We
currently serve 3 to 4 days per week, and with advance notice the truck
can be available any of the other days for small groups, families, and
others to make meals and go on a truck run together.
Truck Runs (5:15 PM) Contact Michael or Rick.
Four to six people go where people are hungry and feed them a
meal and provide other items from our truck.
Make Ready Volunteers (4:00 PM) Contact Linda Make
sandwiches and load the truck with supplies.
Truck Drivers (5:15 PM) Contact Michael.
We are always looking to train new drivers. One must be over 25 years old, with a clean driving record over the past 3 years.

Material Donations
Mobile loaves and Fishes is not intended to be a clothing distributor for all of the homeless in Austin, however when available we send clothes and other items out on our Truck Runs.

These items can be dropped off any Sunday at the Involvement Center or
Monday - Thursday at the Mobile Loaves Commissary in the back of
Fellowship Hall kitchen.
Financial Donations
One may underwrite the $200 cost of a single truck-run by writing a check to Riverbend Church with "MLF" in the memo section, or clicking on the on-line giving button at the top of this site. We hope you will consider a gift to Mobile Loaves "above and beyond" your regular contributions to Riverbend's Ministry.
