What are your favorite Christmas traditions? It may be the warmth of family or setting up the tree and wrapping gifts. For many, it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas without singing carols. Especially in the company of others in church, the timeless melodies of Christmas fill us with nostalgia and anticipation each year.We all know the familiar refrain of “Joy to the World!” but this season, we want to spend time as a community exploring the depth of joy that God uniquely offers us at Christmas.

We invite you to experience joy like you never have before as we discover the Psalm of Christmas. All of our Christmas Eve services feature moments for the entire family. We’ll sing carols while it snows (indoors!), hear beautiful and inspirational music, engage with a thought-provoking message, and conclude with the singing of Silent Night by candlelight. Christmas Eve at Riverbend is an Austin tradition you won’t want to miss. All are welcome!

Riverbend Worship with Riverbend Centre for the Arts presents:
Andrew Peterson’s Behold the Lamb of God

Join us for an incredible evening of music and storytelling as Riverbend Centre presents Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ.

Behold the Lamb of God, written by singer-songwriter Andrew Peterson, is a seminal folk-roots style collection of Christmas songs that take us on a creative exploration through the Advent story arc leading to the birth of Christ.

Austin’s finest musicians will be joining with the Riverbend Worship Choir to perform this music, marking the work’s Austin, Texas debut. This event is FREE, and open to people of all ages who want to learn more about the story of Advent or start a new Christmas tradition.
