The fees
for use of the Riverbend facilities for weddings include the basic cost
for the Wedding Coordinator, audio assistance, and normal custodial
duties. Please refer to Wedding Fees for church rental costs, which
vary by location and set up required.
Weddings
may be scheduled in the Wedding Chapel, Home for Hope, Fellowship Hall,
Foyer of Fellowship Hall, and the Plaza at the following times:
- Monday
- Thursday 6:00 PM wedding (4 PM - 8 PM)
- Friday
Rehearsals
- Saturday
1:00 PM wedding (11 AM - 3 PM) 6:00 PM wedding (4 PM - 8 PM)
- Sunday
5:00 PM wedding (3 PM - 7 PM)
To hold a date for a wedding you must give a $100.00 deposit payable
by credit card or check. If the date is released before 60 days prior
to the wedding date then you will be refunded the full $100.00. If the
date is cancelled 60 days or closer to the wedding date, then no refund
is given. If the date is secured, the $100.00 deposit is credited to
the balance of the rental. The first half of the payment for the use
of the chapel is due when signing the wedding contract. The remaining
balance is due at rehearsal.
To book your wedding on our church calendar, you will need to complete
and return the Wedding Agreement Form along with a 50% non-refundable
deposit to the Wedding Coordinator. To check your date, call the wedding
coordinator. Please remember the date will not be reserved,until your
deposit has been received. The balance of the fee is due 30 days prior
to the ceremony. In the event of a cancellation within 30 days prior
to the wedding, we will return the paid balance minus the non-refundable
deposit to you.
To avoid embarrassing errors, please announce your wedding date after
it has been confirmed on the Riverbend calendar and the officiating
minister has been secured. Members may schedule their wedding date one
year in advance. Non-member weddings may be scheduled six months in
advance. Wedding rehearsals will ordinarily be booked for 6:00pm the
day prior to the wedding unless otherwise specified.
The Wedding Coordinator or a designated assistant will administer rehearsals.
If two weddings are booked for the same day, the first wedding booked
will have precedence in scheduling the rehearsal. Rehearsals will be
limited to one hour. Riverbend's first commitment will always be to
our church programs. For this reason, we cannot book weddings on the
following dates: Good Friday, Easter weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving
Weekend, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Additional holidays we do not
book are Independence Day, Halloween, New Year's Eve and New Year's
Day. No weddings may be booked for Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
Please use the Riverbend Wedding Coordinator, Tracy Brown, 845-6288,
for all weddings and wedding-related events at the church. The extent
of her involvement can vary according to the desires of the wedding
party.
Tracy's
duties include:
- Pre-wedding
consultation after wedding is confirmed
- Liaison
between the Event Department and wedding party for set up
- Direction
of wedding rehearsal
- Wedding
protocol & Access to any church facility for wedding party
